Apologies for my lateness in getting these to you! We talked about an online drawing package entitled Alchemy: http://al.chemy.org
Check it out and have a play: a while back, one of our former students worked out a way to pull silhouettes into Alchemy - and use them as 'brushes' - the blogpost in which he gives the instructions I've included below. What I'm suggesting is that you gather lots of strong 'underwater' silhouettes together, and then combine them with the fluidity of the Alchemy drawing package - should give you some instantly exciting thumbnails!
