Adaptation: Some Shell silhouettes

  1. okay - now try mirroring some of these silhouettes - for example, if you were to mirror no 8 - you'd get an architectural form immediately; you could then shrink that image, and place it on top of another mirror section, so you start to building taller, more elaborate elements; similarly, you might want to think about using one of these silhouettes as one arm of a star (i.e. you combine 5 into a circular configuration) - you then take that silhouette into Maya as a floor plan - and then you extrude a shape 'upwards' from that floor plan, perhaps narrowing it into a steeple, or similar? You would quickly achieve some baroque, exciting architecture by doing so... more!
